I ate my way through St. Louis this weekend while I was visiting my daughter; they have some wonderful restaurants! I also visited the SLAM, otherwise known as the St. Louis Art Museum, where we enjoyed a really exceptional brunch on Sunday, overlooking the sculpture garden and gazing up at a Chihuly chandelier. We then wandered through the galleries. This was my first visit to this museum, so it was a get-acquainted gazing. I highly recommend a visit; not only is the museum itself worth your time, but you will enjoy its setting in Forest Park, one of the nicest city parks I’ve been in.

I am also beginning work on a new series: Working for Change. I plan to examine women in history who have made a difference and hope to start with the Civil Rights Movement. I want to call attention to those whom we don’t know, whose names have faded, but who are women who were deeply involved and critical to the time. If you have suggestions of women I might investigate for the series, let me know.
