I am currently reading Simon Schama’s book, “Rembrandt’s Eyes.” In it he describes the discovery of Rembrandt and Rembrandt’s concentration in his early years on establishing his credentials as a master craftsman. In telling this, Schama refers to the 17th century view of art, or “ars” as:

“manual dexterity in the service of illusion.”

Judy Chicago … iconchristine-portrait-icon-thumbnail.jpg  I just noticed that prices are incorrect on two pieces in the “Dinner in the City” series. The two pieces are: “Christine de Pisan … icon, and “Judy Chicago … icon”. Both are $1400 each, not $1500.

Judy’s on the left; Christine is on the right!

A friend of mine was looking at my site for the first time recently – this is a friend I had not seen in some time – and commented that my “Dinner in the City” series of collages is not on the “See my Work” page.

BIG OOPS! What was I thinking? I guess I wasn’t, so now I am adding those pieces to the above mentioned page. However, I am going to add them at a measured pace, so keep checking back please!

After I add all of those, I will commence my new policy – one I should have had at the beginning – of putting ALL work on the “See my Work” page. I will also be reorganizing the pieces so that all the sale pieces will be first, followed by others in private collections. Hope this helps!
