I just returned from a quick (2-day) trip to Orlando, where on the recommendation of my good friend and former business partner Lorie, I visited the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art. Lorie is a talented stained glass artist and she had recommended this amazing place some time ago.

Housed in a contemporary building, the visitor enters into a quiet, dimly lighted space FILLED with a comprehensive and breathtaking collection of glass work by Louis Comfort Tiffany and his studio. It was gorgeous! Screens, lamps, vases, windows, jewelry, paintings by Tiffany, the Tiffany Chapel; color, light and artistry.  In addition, the museum houses American paintings and other work from the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau periods. For those of you from my area, there is an extensive collection of Rookwood pottery.

It is most definitely worth a visit. To learn more, go to: www.morsemuseum.org
